Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) is recognized by the American College of Physicians as the "gold standard" first-line treatment. Unlike general sleep hygiene or medication, CBT-I addresses the underlying physiological and psychological drivers of insomnia. While this treatment is often underutilized in general medicine, I and other behavioral sleep medicine providers deliver this essential, data-driven care.

Sleep Biology: Understanding the role of your internal sleep drive, circadian rhythms, and physiological arousal.

Behavioral Changes: Implement protocols involving targeted behavioral strategies (such as Stimulus Control and Sleep Restriction) to retrain your body for sleep.

Your Journey to Restorative Sleep
I utilize a structured, results-oriented framework designed to provide measurable improvements in your sleep.

1. The Specialized Clinical Intake A comprehensive 60-minute diagnostic evaluation of your sleep patterns. We conduct a "deep dive" into the psychosocial, biological, and environmental factors unique to you to identify what contributes to and perpetuates your sleep difficulties.

2. Diagnostic Feedback & Strategy In this dedicated session, I provide a clear clinical assessment and a treatment plan. Should your case require medical integration, I will help facilitate referrals to trusted sleep physicians.

3. The Core Treatment Phase: Building Momentum This intensive phase is focused on the active manipulation of sleep biology through targeted behavioral and cognitive interventions. During our sessions, you will gain specialized skills and strategies shown to recalibrate your internal sleep drive and circadian rhythm. To ensure clinical precision, we will closely monitor your sleep data and objective progress throughout this period.

4. Optimization & Sustainability As your sleep stabilizes, we systematically taper session frequency. This phase focuses on long-term optimization—ensuring your improvements are sustainable and that you have the tools to maintain these gains independently.
