CBT-I & Sleep Restoration in Greater Boston

Evidence-based sleep treatment in Sharon, MA and throughout Massachusetts via Telehealth.

Specialized Care for Sleep Disorders
I specialize in Behavioral Sleep Medicine, providing targeted treatment for a range of sleep challenges that often coexist with insomnia. My expertise includes:

  • Chronic Insomnia: The primary focus of CBT-I.

  • Circadian Rhythm Disorders: Aligning your internal clock with your life.

  • Nightmare Disorders: Evidence-based protocols to reduce frequency and intensity.

  • CPAP Adherence: Behavioral support for consistent sleep apnea treatment.

  • Medication Tapers: Supporting a safe, medically-supervised transition away from sleep aids.

A Personalized Approach to Sleep (In-Person & Telehealth)
The primary advantage of my practice is personalized care. Whether we meet in-person at my Sharon, MA office or via Telehealth throughout Massachusetts, I focus on your unique clinical needs and financial considerations. We work together to find the most effective path toward restorative sleep, whether that requires a fast-tracked behavioral intervention or a longer, more supportive treatment course for complex sleep difficulties, co-occurring anxiety, and stress management.

High-Tech, Low-Burden Care (COAST by Noctem)
My practice utilizes the COAST platform by Noctem Health, a professional-grade remote sleep monitoring system. For eligible clients, we can integrate remote asynchronous care for portions—or even the entirety—of the active treatment phase based on your clinical need and preferences.

This model allows you to:

  • Save Time: Receive expert feedback and protocol adjustments without the need for weekly one-on-one sessions.

  • Reduce Cost: Access "Gold Standard" CBT-I at a significantly lower price point than traditional therapy.

  • Maintain Precision: Your treatment is still driven by your real-time data, ensuring clinical rigor even when we aren't meeting live.

  • Eligibility for asynchronous care is determined during your initial diagnostic assessment.

Traditional & Comprehensive Support
For clients who prefer more support or are navigating complexities with their sleep difficulties—such as multiple sleep challenges, chronic stress, generalized anxiety, or difficult health transitions—I offer Traditional Therapy Sessions. This path allows for a longer treatment course where we can dive deeper into the factors affecting your rest. This is ideal for those who prefer the support of a weekly therapeutic relationship to manage the multiple components that interfere with sleep.

The Treatment Process & Fees
--Step 1: The Foundation (Required for All New Clients)
Before beginning the active treatment phase, every client completes a two-part clinical foundation to ensure safety and diagnostic accuracy:

  • Diagnostic Intake (60 min) - $300 | A comprehensive evaluation of your sleep history, health, mental health, and goals. ($300)

  • The Planning Session (50 min) - $275 | A traditional one-on-one session focused on sleep biology psychoeducation, personal sleep data feedback, and collaborative treatment planning.

--Step 2: The Active Treatment Phase (Flexible Care Tiers)
Once your plan is set, the active treatment phase is tailored to your clinical needs and financial considerations. All tiers include professional-grade remote monitoring via the COAST platform.

Service  Tier - Cost | Description

  • Traditional Session (50 min) - $275Complex sleep difficulties or those preferring in-depth clinical support

  • Focused Check-In (30 min) - $150Clients needing targeted follow-up sessions without a full session.

  • Asynchronous Care - $90/weekExpert-led remote treatment with no live sessions (for eligible clients).

  • Hybrid Care - Varies (depends on specific treatment schedule) |  Alternating between live sessions and weeks of asynchronous monitoring.

FAQ
"What is included in my care?"
Regardless of the tier we plan for you, my approach is data-driven.
Every treatment path includes:

  • Professional Monitoring: I track your sleep patterns in real-time between sessions using the COAST platform.

  • Clinical Precision: Your prescribed "sleep window" and treatment strategies are adjusted based on your actual sleep data.

  • Personalized Strategy: We can pivot between tiers. For example, many clients start with Traditional Sessions and transition to Asynchronous Care as they stabilize—a "Hybrid" approach that saves both time and cost.

"How long does sleep treatment take?"

For most clients, the active treatment phase of CBT-I is a brief and focused process designed to produce lasting results in weeks, rather than months or years.

  • Initial Improvements: When utilizing the COAST-supported protocol, most clients begin to see measurable improvements in their sleep quality and daytime energy within 4 to 6 weeks.

  • Average Treatment Length: A typical course of treatment is approximately 6 to 8 weeks. This time frame allows us to stabilize your sleep-wake cycle, address the cognitive habits maintaining your insomnia, and ensure you have the tools to manage your sleep independently.

  • When Addressing Multiple Challenges & Comprehensive Care: While the behavioral protocol is structured, I provide personalized care. If we are addressing multiple sleep challenges—such as nightmare disorders or CPAP adherence—or if you are managing significant complexities like chronic stress, anxiety, or other health concerns, your treatment course may be longer. We will adjust the pace and duration of our work to ensure we fully address all factors contributing to your rest and help you achieve your specific long-term wellness goals.

“What is COAST? Why do you use it in your practice?”
COAST (by Noctem Health) is a professional-grade clinical platform designed specifically to maximize the effectiveness of Behavioral Sleep Medicine. Unlike general consumer wearables, COAST acts as a secure, real-time bridge between your daily sleep patterns and my clinical oversight.

See a video about COAST here:  https://vimeo.com/810314888

The Function of COAST:

  • Real-Time Monitoring: The platform allows me to track your sleep data as it happens, rather than waiting for our next scheduled appointment to review progress.

  • Data-Driven Precision: By analyzing your specific sleep patterns, I can send personalized recommendations and make precise adjustments to your treatment plan.

  • Enhanced Accessibility: COAST powers a flexible care model, allowing for asynchronous check-ins that save you time and reduce the need for traditional weekly office visits.

Proven Benefits:

  • High Success Rate: Clinical data shows that 70% to 80% of patients see significant benefits from CBT-I integrated with this type of professional support.

  • Rapid Improvement: Most patients who pursue COAST-supported CBT-I begin to see measurable improvements in their sleep within 4 to 6 weeks.

  • Durable Results: Because it addresses the underlying mechanisms of sleep rather than just symptoms, it provides an expert-guided, non-pharmacological path to sleep with no long-term side effects.
